Race & Congregational Life

Your story and participation matter! Let’s stand united against racism and work toward lasting transformation for a more inclusive and equitable future.
Please join us every month on the 4th Wednesday as we come together to explore, discuss, and take action on issues of racial justice within our UU congregations. Rooted in the UU commitment to equity and compassion, this meeting offers a space for reflection, education, and community-driven solutions for creating a more just world. Unfortunately, there is no way to completely eradicate racism in our space, therefore we will spend our time exploring how to limit racial biases and harm created by racism in our communities.
This event is open to anyone and everyone who is committed to confronting and removing racism from our communities.
The Goals of these meetings:
- Relationship building
- Exploring actionable steps and practicing antiracist leadership models
- Sharing past experiences, best practices, and community events

Our Mission
The mission of Unitarian Universalists for Racial Justice is to bring Unitarian Universalists together for mutually accountable racial justice work.
Our Committment
We are committed to doing the internal work of rooting out racial biases within the congregation systems and congregational life. We make a pledge to The Mountain Top UU as a form of reparations for harm that we as UUs have perpetuated upon our BIPOC siblings in the past.
