Antiracist Leadership (05/28)

Join us for our May Antiracist Leadership Meeting! We will gather with The MountainTop UU Leadership and continue our critical conversations on the state of the country amid the growing threat of fascism and how all of this is affecting our local congregations and communities.
What is working and what isn’t?
How are you serving marginalized members your leadership and congregation?
– Are you developing alternative workflows to assist with additional existential and actual personal threats?
– Do you have emergency plans in place if ICE or other authorities show up at your congregation?
– What spiritual care are you offering?
– Are there emergency monetary funds and other resources available?
– Other?
What action is your congregation/community taking?
– Are you out and proud about your mission and vision to be a safe space for our marginalized siblings?
– Are you being silent and providing services as participant in an underground Railroad?
– Are you somewhere in between?
– Other????
Now is the time to lead with courage—join us in shaping a faithful response to these challenging times.
Your leadership and commitment are vital to this transformative work.
Join us for a conversation of accountability about creating antiracist ministerial, work and community environments. Together, we will explore strategies to actively confront racial biases and foster inclusive, equitable spaces in our workplaces and ministries, especially when it comes to hiring, staffing, or volunteer leadership. Through meaningful dialogue and shared experiences, we aim to cultivate environments rooted in racial justice, understanding, and solidarity by taking actionable steps toward dismantling racism and building a stronger, more inclusive community for all.

– Connecting with The Mountain Top Leadership
– Fostering and practicing antiracist leadership models
– Sharing best practices that promote justice, inclusion, and equality
